The secret to succeeding in 2010.

Decide what you want.

Sounds simple, doesn’t it?  It is – it’s just not always easy.

Most people decide to “want” what someone else tells them they should want.  As a result, they’re not committed to achieving it.  So, when the first challenge comes along, (and it ALWAYS does), they give up, quit, negotiate, settle, or [insert verb of your choice here].

Think about James Cameron’s movie:  AVATAR.  He wrote the script 15 years ago.  Looking around, he realized the technology to tell the story the way he wanted to tell it didn’t exist.  So, he shelved the idea – put it in a drawer and forgot about it.

Eventually, when he believed the technology was possible, he brought his vision out of the drawer, dusted it off, and went after it.  He had to create the technology to bring his vision to life.  So, he did.

Avatar is the largest grossing movie ever made.

The key?  VISION.  For James Cameron, it was telling his story, his way.

What’s YOUR vision?  Decide on a vision you want so much that whatever anyone else says doesn’t matter.  When that happens, you will be unstoppable.  You will decide what 2010 will look like for you.
