I’ve been checking out the buzz surrounding the movie Avatar. The graphics and cinematography are amazing. It’s obvious James Cameron pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in movie-making. I saw it in 3-D XD. And, it really seemed as if I was there.
What’s striking is the emotional “let down” many feel after watching it. One individual was quoted as saying his world was “gray” after watching the beauty that is Pandora.
Generally, if your world seems gray after watching Avatar, it was gray before seeing it. Avatar merely highlighted for you the discrepancy between the adventure Jake Sully and Neytiri live in their world and the adventure you live in yours.
